ZANE Duquemin, the Jersey Sports Council Sports Person of the Year, opened his outdoor athletics season account in supreme style at the weekend as he set two huge personal bests to win two British Universities and Colleges Sport titles.
The Jersey Spartan AC throw specialist first won the BUCS Outdoor Athletics Championship shot title on Saturday with a new senior 7.2 kg lifetime best of 17.01 metres, a 63 centimetre improvement.
He then completed the double on Sunday with a mammoth winning discus PB of 54.93m to better his previous best by nearly two and a half metres.
