2014 West Park 5k results 4th Dec
Sixteen hardy souls took part in the Jersey Spartan Athletic Club’s monthly 5km race at West Park recently. Despite it being a cold winter’s night there were some good performances, none faster than that of the winner, teenager Phil Maguire who came home five seconds ahead of his closest rival in a time of 16 mins 55 secs. Runner-up was the early leader Josh Brien in a time of 17 mins exactly, with Tony Banks in third place in 17-08.
There were two women in the race and first one home was Sue Le Ruez in her first race as a 60 year-old. Sue posted a good time of 22-22 winning her the “run of the night” award, ahead of her rival Andrea Marnoch who ran 27-07.
