Spartan Mont Rossignol cross country results
The Jersey Spartan Athletic Club held their first race of the year at the weekend; a five lap, 4.5 mile event on an off-road course at Mont Rossignol, St Ouen. The clear winner was Tony Banks in a time of 26 mins 41 secs, also winning him the run of the day award. Runner-up and showing good form was super-vet Nick Gorrod in 28-36, with course designer Jon Coote third in 28-49.
Jo Gorrod, who had competed in a duathlon earlier in the day, showed no ill effects from that race and was the first woman home in 30-49. Second place went to Andrea Banks in 31-05 and third to super-vet Sue Le Ruez in 35-59.
