The JSAC held a 4.5mile cross-country race at Mont Rossignol at the weekend. In the winter sunshine Tony Banks made light of the muddy, slippery conditions to win the race in a time of 25 mins 49 secs, which also won him the run-of-the-day award.
Following Banks home in second place was Damien Maher who completed the course in 26-59 and third spot went to Phil Ahier who ran a time of 27-28.
Jo Gorrod dominated the women’s race, finishing fifth overall and was first woman home in 27-55. Katie Thompson performed well on the terrain and, cheered on by her family, came home second in 30-39, just getting the better of Andrea Banks who took third spot in 31-01.
