Despite the strong winds and driving rain there was a good turn-out for the Jersey Spartan 10km race at the Five Mile Road at the weekend.

Tom Perchard made light of the conditions, coming home alone to record a victory in 35 mins 7 secs, winning himself the much-coveted “run of the day” award. One minute behind in 36-07 was Nick Saunders, with Dave Holmes taking third place in 36-10.
Jo Gorrod had a good run and was the seventh runner overall and won the women’s race in 38-01 well clear of the next female competitor. Mandy Evans took the runner-up spot in 45-40 and Laura Morel was third home in 46-55.
