The first race was the 7/8 age group in which a record 47 runners finished the course. The boy’s race started one minute before the girls race in order to give the runners a chance to spread out as some parts of the course are quite narrow. In fact the runners set off along the common before dropping down the incline into the car park. Running round the back of the car park they then headed down the path to St. Brelade’s Bay and then climbing sharp left and retuning back up the incline to the finish. With the high entry the races were quite close. Freddie Lucas won by four seconds from Corey Heath and Matthew Thornton. In the girls race there was an exciting finish with five runners finishing within four seconds of each other. Elizabeth Atkinson got the verdict by just dipping in front of Erin McAlister with both runners recording the same time. Grace Butler was a second behind in recording third place.
The second race was the 9/10 age group and again the boys started one minute in front of the girls as there was forty one entries. As is usual this age group ran two kilometres with the runners completing two laps of the course. Two boys stood out in this race as Luke Killiam led home Jakob Stanton to win by two seconds. Some twenty five seconds adrift Sam Nisbett took third place. The same applied in the girls race with Lucy Hunt just beating Skye Leather by two seconds. Down the field Elissa Polak just held off Kirsty Ludlam for third place,
In the final race the combined age group of 11to 14 saw twenty three runners complete three laps of the three kilometre course. Isaac Du val just held off Jack Kennedy by three seconds whilst Peter Holmes took third place by the narrowest of margins from William Atkinson in the boys 11/12 age group. Florence Gothard comfortably won the girls race from Adele Maher and Cleo Leather. In the 13/14 age group There were no shocks as Sam Maher won again from Ollie Turner and William Brown whilst Yasmin Lookess won the girls from Isobel Atkinson
