Results : Transfer 2000 10k July 13 Clean
The Annual Transfer 2000 10k road race took place recently from West Park. Runners were hampered by a very strong wind in their faces on the return leg from St. Aubins.
Damien Maher seemed to relish the conditions, after breaking clear of the lead pack of four to finish the clear winner in 36:50. His performance was enough for the run of the day award. Runner up was fellow veteran Jon Coote with 37:49, while newcomer Josh Brien was third in 40:11.
A strong effort from Arlene Lewis saw her victorious in the ladies race in 40:58 just getting the better of Sylvia Thompson in 41:33. Vicky Barrette third in 42:11.
After the race prizes were presented by Justin Crow of Transfer 2000 to the first five men and women home.
