Jersey Spartan AC held their last cross-country race of the year at the weekend on the dunes near Kempt Tower.

In the mens’ race Tony Banks was a clear winner on the 5 lap circuit of just over a mile per lap in 29 mins 47 secs. Newcomer to Spartan races Paul Garrod was impressive in second place in 30.43 and teenager Finlay Wright third in 31.11.
Jo Gorrod was also a clear winner in the womens’ race in 32.57 ahead of Sue Le Ruez in 39.43 and the visiting Davina Tweed in 40.39.
