Warm weather finally arrives @ FB!

It seems like it’s been a very long winter, but on Thursday night it was feeling slightly more like summer at FB Fields.  The gusting wind meant that only 2 of the sprint races were within legal wind speeds, but those races for the junior girls produced a number of PBs, with both Hayden Pister (U20) and Danielle Wilkinson (U17) dipping under 13 seconds.

In the long jump 2 athletes jumped over 6m, with Jonty Butler (U17) at 6.02m and Steven Mackay (Snr) 6.42m.

The good weather brought out some excellent racing.  The boys 300m was particularly competitive, with Antony Vinrace (U17) reversing the result in Event 1 and just holding off Jacob Mauger (U15).

Issac Thompson was dominant in the U15 1500m, finishing in 4:30.2, more than 15 seconds ahead of second place.
