GRAEME LE MAISTRE OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE SERIES LES QUENNEVAIS – Sunday 5th February

The Graeme Le Maistre Off Road Adventure Series moved on to the dunes at Les Quennevais at the weekend. On a twisting, turning course of 5 laps, totalling 6kms, Dave Holmes the recent winner of the Bouley Bay Hill Climb chalked up another victory, coming home in 22 minutes and 42 seconds.
Second place went to veteran Simon Roderick in 23 minutes 30 seconds, his strong performance winning him the run of the day award. Super-vet Nick Gorrod (23.40) claimed the third spot, finishing just ahead of his wife, fourth placer Jo Gorrod (23.42) who was the first woman home. Danielle Leerson was the second woman to finish in 26 minutes 31 seconds follows home just over a half minute later by Andrea Banks in 27 minutes 06 seconds.
The forecast of possibly six inches of snow thankfully never arrived, the runners having instead to contend with a cold strong northerly wind.
The next JSAC race is another Graeme Le Maistre off-road Adventure series event, on a different course, at the dunes, Les Quennevais, at 9 a.m. on Sunday 19 February.
